The PRRA subsidizes all kinds of skate times free of charge for the local community.
Public Skating generally runs from October through April yearly.
Weekday Public Skate, Family Skate, Senior 50+ Skate, Tiny Tots Skate and Senior Sticks n Pucks 50+ are scheduled regularly.
Extra free skating times, such as, Youth Sticks n Pucks, Family Skate and Public Skate will be added if space becomes available.
Always schedule the online Arena Schedules for dates and times, schedules can change without notice.
Helmets are ALWAYS strongly suggested, unless otherwise indicated as mandatory.
Public Skate:
Public Skate is a time for the general public to come enjoy some skate time on the ice, a great opportunity to strengthening your skating skills and increase physical activity at the same time.
Wednesdays: 1:45 – 2:45pm
Senior Skate:
Senior Skate is a time for individuals that are 50+ years to enjoy their time on the ice, this is a nice pace without the busyness of some of the other skate times.
Tuesdays: 1:15 – 2:15pm & Thursdays: 9:30 – 10:30am
Family Skate:
Family Skate is for the entire family, this is geared towards increasing recreation and physical activity as a family unit.
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 10:45 – 11:45pm
Tiny Tots Skate:
Tiny Tots Skate is for pre-school aged children to begin and establish skills and confidence on the ice without the busyness of other skate times.
Helmets are STRONGLY suggested for all patrons, especially ALL Preschoolers. No shoes or strollers on the ice surface.
Mondays: 10:45 – 11:45am & Wednesdays: 9:30-10:30am
Youth Sticks n Pucks:
Youth Sticks n’ Pucks is divided up into two categories; Ages 4 – 12 years old and Ages 13 – 17 years old.
This is a time for youth to work on their skating , stick handling and practice shooting at a net.
Helmets are Mandatory for ALL patrons on the ice. Bring your own skates, stick and puck.
Parents are permitted to be on the ice during Sticks n Pucks, however, only to supervise. Please leave the stick handling to the children.
Youth Sticks n Pucks will be available at random times; please check the arena schedules.
Senior Stick’s n Pucks 50+:
Senior Stick’s n Pucks is a time for patrons 50+ to work on their skating , stick handling and practice shooting at a net.
Helmets are Mandatory for ALL patrons on the ice. Bring your own skates, stick and puck.

General Skating Rules:
These rules are general and apply at all times unless otherwise indicated in the skating description.
General care and consideration for ALL patrons on the ice is important and appreciated!
- Helmets are strongly recommended, unless otherwise noted as Mandatory
- Non-skaters and those using the skating aids must stay in centre ice area as designated by red cones. Skating aids are ONLY for those learning to skate.
- All participants must wear skates.
- Do not skate in any manner that will dangerous to others.
- Do not skate fast, backwards or figure skating.
- No racing, chasing, tag games or other horseplay: such as sliding on the ice.
- No throwing hats, gloves, ice balls or any other items that may interfere with the safety of others.
- No hockey pucks, balls or sticks on the ice.
- No food, drinks of any kind, gum or sunflower seeds permitted on the ice.
- Do not carry your child or infant on the ice surface.
- No standing around by arena boards.
- Baby strollers, sleighs, wagons or toboggans are not permitted on ice.
- Skate at your own risk.
- Listen and adhere to the PRRA staff at all times.
- Rules to be followed at all times. If not you may be asked to leave the facility.
